Snowflakes and Love

“I know without needing to hear the voice of the Creator that the stars trace out in space the orbits which his hand has drawn.” -de Tocqueville

These snowflakes (frost-flakes?) were scattered all over the yard this morning. They took my breath away with their simple yet complex beauty. They reminded me of the Artist who designed them.

How blessed we are that the Creator did speak out, that we can hear his voice. His word is an even greater treasure than the beauty of the snowflakes. But the snowflakes reminded me of another blessing from God – as awesome as the beauty and uniqueness of a snowflake is, it is nothing compared to man, and the gifts God has given him.

“So God created man in His own image; in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them.” Genesis 1:27

“Behold what manner of love the Father has bestowed on us, that we should be called children of God!” 1 John 3:1

I’m so glad that God used a few snowflakes this morning to remind me of his love.
